Medivik is a private paediatric practice based in Bella Vista, NSW, led by Consultant General Paediatrician Dr Vivek Akkera.
We see children from birth through adolescence for developmental, behavioural and general paediatric concerns, with visiting consultations available at partner clinics in Singleton and West Gosford.
Our work is built around removing the barriers that get in the way of good care, whether those are clinical, financial, geographic, or simply the dread a child feels walking into a sterile consulting room.
Medivik is anchored by Dr Vivek Akkera, Consultant General Paediatrician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). With over sixteen years of specialist experience across India, the United Kingdom and Australia, he brings a broad clinical perspective to every family he sees.

For nearly a decade, Dr Akkera has served at Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and the Westmead Children’s Hospital. Families know him for his balanced approach, which combines evidence-based medicine with empathy, guiding them toward clarity and comfort.

Outside of medicine, Dr Akkera values time with family and friends, enjoys travelling, cricket and exploring new experiences.

Bulk billing and other financial constraints can limit access to quality healthcare. We work to remove these barriers, making sure that families receive the care they need without compromise, and that every child has the same opportunity for good health.
