Your Child's Journey

Each visit follows a simple process that keeps families informed and children at ease.

Your First Visit

Your journey begins here. Book your child’s first appointment through our online portal. A referral isn’t required, but it is if you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate.

Preparing for Your Visit

Please bring your referral letter, Medicare card, and Blue Book. School reports, past records, or short videos of symptoms are also helpful for giving us a clear picture.

Virtual Consultations

Some visits are easier from home. Telehealth lets you connect with your paediatrician clearly and reliably, without the stress of travel or waiting.

The Day of Your Visit

Your first consultation usually lasts 40 minutes. You’ll find us at the Bond Building in Bella Vista, Dangar Medical Practice in Singleton, or the Riverside Park Office Tower in West Gosford.

Feeling a Little Lost on
ADHD Assessment?

The Vanderbilt form helps parents and teachers record observations about a child’s attention, behaviour, and learning. Completing it before your appointment gives our team valuable insight and supports a more focused assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see a paediatrician at Medivik?

A referral is not required to book an appointment, but having one from your GP allows you to claim a Medicare rebate. If you’re unsure, we recommend asking your GP for a referral so you can access the rebate while ensuring we have a complete picture of your child’s health.

What should I bring to my child’s first appointment?

Please bring your child’s Medicare card, referral letter, and Blue Book if available. School reports, previous medical records, or short videos of your child’s symptoms can also help us gain valuable insights. These details support a thorough assessment and ensure we provide the best possible guidance for your child’s health journey.

How long will my child’s first consultation take?

Your child’s first consultation usually lasts around 40 minutes. This allows time for a complete developmental and medical assessment, a review of your child’s history, and an open discussion of your concerns. We want you to leave with clear answers, a personalised care plan, and confidence about the next steps in your child’s care.

Our Consultation Rooms

Designed for Care

We believe a patient’s well-being is tied to their environment. Our consultation rooms are a deliberate departure from the dim, cramped rooms and sterile feel of a traditional clinic. The design is built to alleviate anxiety, not to cause it.

Built for Discovery

Children notice everything, from the walls to the shapes to the small details. That is why our spaces are designed to spark quiet curiosity without overwhelming the senses. Familiar textures, soft forms, and playful touches turn the waiting moment into one of interest rather than fear, helping each visit feel natural and safe.

Grounded in Connection

These rooms are built for real conversation. Parents sit close, children have space to move, and the setting keeps focus where it should be. Natural materials give the room a steady, familiar feel. The design lets care happen without noise, distance, or distraction.
